Hello fiber friends!

For any of you who watched the Game of Wool (special thanks to VPNs and YouTube for those of us outside of the UK!) and wanted to know what knits (and crochet) pieces the contestants wore, I did the research so you don't have to.

For those I couldn't find the exact pattern, I've included links to similar patterns in case you want to cast on another project:

I must admit Ailsa was one of my immediate favorites This is a pattern from the 1940's, available from the Knitting & Crochet Guild's membership. The name is "Up To Your Neck" jumper, and you will need a KCGuild membership to access it or you can find it on Ailsa's website.

I wasn't able to find the exact pattern but the Melu Crochet Granny Flexi Hexi Cardigan is pretty close!

Gordon possibly made this from his own chart and a pullover with a quarter zip. If I track this one down I will post an update!

Holger is one to watch with an impeccable eye for design! I wasn't able to find the exact pattern but most men's Fair Isle patterns are quite close. The biggest difference is the motifs in most patterns are larger and less intricate than what Holger wore. Perhaps this was another original! I found a vintage pattern for a Men's Fair Isle Sweater Vest that is pretty close.

Another one that may have some custom color work was Isaac's vest. This Susan Crawford Wartime Farm pattern is the most similar I could find.

I immediately needed to look up what Lydia was wearing, and I can't be surprised by the designer. She is wearing a Knitting for Olive Drop Sweater, and I love the colors she chose for the accents!

Newer to the knitting world, Meadow donned a crochet cardigan. The closest pattern I could find is the  Sewrella Crochet Everyday Cotton Cardigan or the free For the Frills cardigan pattern.

Simon may have been the only contestant who missed the memo and didn’t wear something he made. Maybe he will in episode 2!

Stephanie's crochet cardigan is another one that was hard to find, but the Peacoya Pattern by CrochetEmeraudesArt is pretty similar.

I wasn't able to see enough of Tracy's shawl, but from the motifs I can see if looks like it may be an adjusted version of WestKnits Glowhair Frost Shawl.
